Night Firing Tests.

The Assassins' main gun is a 165mm auto-frettaged smoothbore gun manufactured by Casey Dynamics. The gun is fitted with a thermal sleeve, a fume extraction system and a muzzle reference system. The gun is stabilized in two axes by hydraulic servos and can fire all available types of ammunition including APLGDS (armour-piercing laser-guided discarding sabot) and HEAT (high explosive anti-tank) rounds. Its Maximum Aimed Range is 4000 meters. The MW-77 carries 75 rounds of 165mm ammunition, the turret bustle accommodating 35 rounds of ammunition and 40 rounds being stored in the hull.

The more recent EG-42 HEAT round offers a quad-shaped charge warhead and increased penetration against conventional armors. The JG-38 round is designed for use against reactive armor, and as an MP round has fragmentation effects.

Stabilized image intensification sights allow it to engage moving targets while in motion, with the increased speed and accuracy of electro-mechanical power drives. Day/night gunner and commander sights associated to a laser range finder and ballistic computer allow absolute precision.
